Hello readers! Before we begin, I would like to say that I do not own any of these characters or you.
Hope you enjoy!
Sugar Daddy (BBC Mycroft Holmes x reader) Chpt. 3
After you had finished washing up, you decided to relax in your favorite spot. You made your way over when you stopped. Mr. Holmes had given you a folder. You should probably read it before tomorrow, in case you had a specific time you had to be there.
Making your way to your room, you jumped as your phone buzzed in your jeans. Taking it out, you glanced at the message on the screen.
‘Hello (Y/N). I realized I forgot to mention what time you will have to arrive for work tomorrow. Please be at the same location at 6 a.m. We have many things to complete tomorrow.’
You smiled slightly at how formal he was, the perfect air of a gentleman.
“It’s really nothing to worry about Miss (l/n). You may do many things for me but it is a gentleman’s duty to open doors for a lady. On a very different note, I’ll be requiring your phone number so I can contact you whenever I need you.”
“Open doors for a lady,” you muttered under your breath.
“Who’s texting you?”
You nearly jumped three feet in the air and smacked Rel in the arm. She groaned good-naturedly as she rubbed the spot.
“Somebody’s jumpy. Watching too many episodes of American Horror Story?”
You grumbled out something that sounded like a maybe and shuffled into your room as Rel giggled at you. You picked up the folder from where you tossed it on your bed and bumped into Rel going back to your first destination.
“So, Rel, Mr. Holmes mentioned that if I was to be his personal assistant, then I would have to live in his home with him.”
A few moments of silence before a pillow hit you in the back of the head.
“Ow! What the bloody hell was that for?!”
“YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID YES YOU IDIOT!”
“Why? I thought you always wanted to live with me?”
“Well, I still do but come on! You said he was attractive. Don’t waste time waiting up for me! Live with him. Get some.”
The last part was spoken with wiggled eyebrows. You rolled your eyes and settled down in the window seat, pulling a blanket over your legs.
The only reason you had bought this flat was so you could sit here. As soon as you walked in, it caught your attention and for the past few days, you had not lifted your butt from that specific spot. Rel settled down across from you and looked at you gently.
“You’re my best friend and I so want to live with you but if our living situation is going to stress you out with your job, by all means, go live with him. Did he give you those today?”
You nodded and sighed. You picked up your phone and started typing.
‘Mr. Holmes, I know I denied your request earlier but if I may ask, is there still a chance I could live in with you? The commute is quite a way away and I wouldn’t know if I would be able to afford the cab fare that often.’
You set your phone down and picked up the folder in your lap. You folded the clasps inward and opened the tab. You pulled out the first slip of paper.
“Bloody hell!”
“What?”
“He’s traveling all over the world in just this month!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me!”
“Well, not ALL over the world. Just over Europe but you get it.”
“Bloody hell,” Rel breathed out.
“That’s what I’m saying!”
Your phone buzzed again and you picked it up quickly.
‘That would be no problem Miss (l/n). I understand the reason for your hesitation but I can assure you, I will make sure my hired help with assist you with all that you will need. I would also be willing to pay for your friend’s flat if she needs it. Good night Miss (l/n), I advise you turn in soon. Staying up looking at all my documents now isn’t good for your health.’
Your eyes widened at the last sentence. You gazed out the window at the darkening streets. You didn’t see anyone that resembled your employer. So how did he know that was exactly what you were doing?
“Shit,” you muttered.

Waking up the next morning was hard. You took sleeping medication that would help you get to sleep faster and they hadn’t quite worn off by the time you were to be awake the next morning.
You rushed into the shower and dressed of a similar caliber as yesterday, only your fashion choices reflected sort of what Mr. Holmes was wearing. You didn’t realize this until you looked in the mirror, seeing a red and brown pin striped shirt and a grey pencil skirt. The colors looked better than you thought and you decided to cheekily roll your sleeves up the elbows, going for a sort of ‘sexy secretary’ vibe.
You shrugged on the same coat and shoes as yesterday. You were about to leave when Rel bounced in the hallway, a bagel wrapped in a paper towel, a to go up filled with hot chocolate.
“Thank you so much, wife. I really appreciate it.”
“Shut it. I don’t know when I’ll see you again.”
“I know. I love you so much.”
“I love you too. Now go out there and kick some business ass. I saw your outfit, you’re gonna knock Mr. Holmes off his feet.”
You giggled and stepped out of the flat, shivering at the bite the wind gave your cheeks. You were about half way down the street when your phone rang out. You pulled it out of your pocket and answered.
“Hello, Mr. Holmes.”
“Get in the car.”
“What?”
You cast a glance around, only to see a black car pull up beside you.
“You didn’t have to send a car.”
“Miss (l/n), I am happy to help you with whatever you need in exchange for your services.”
You shivered. You knew he didn’t mean those services but it still made a finger of mystery and something resembling desire curl up your back.
You walked to the car and opened the door for yourself, swinging yourself inside.
“Hello again, Miss (l/n).”
You squeaked at Mr. Holmes voice poking into your thoughts. You looked up at him through your eyelashes, not in a flirty but more embarrassed way. He let out a low chuckle.
“I sent some of my men to collect your things. They will be here by the end of the day. I needn’t have you worrying your head about moving when we have things to do today.”
“Yes, Mr. Holmes.”

After arriving at Mr. Holmes house, you hurriedly bustled in behind your employer, ready to take notes or whatever.
“Read me my schedule for today Miss (l/n), please.”
You complied quickly, shuffling through the folders you had labeled.
“At eight, you have an appointment with some members of Buckingham palace. At nine, you have a meeting discussing legal matters with Samson Elder. The note says he’s coming to pick you up and then you’re going to a restaurant.”
“You’re coming along.”
“Oh. Okay.”
You cleared your throat and continued.
“At eleven, you have another meeting with the prime minister. Lunch will be provided, as it says here. At two, your workout is scheduled. It also says I’ll be doing some filing.”
“Yes. When we have open times between meetings here, you’ll be doing filing in my office. Not the one we had our interview in, but the one I use for official business.”
“Of course, Mr. Holmes.”
You followed him into a brightly lit office, the wall facing the door being halfway filled with windows. In the seat facing towards the desk, there sat a man. He had curly dark hair and a wool cape coat with the collar turned up.
“Hello baby brother. To what do I owe the pleasure.”
“Save the pleasantries Mycroft.”
The man whipped out of his chair, revealing bright blue eyes and sharp cheekbones. What Mr. Holmes said had sunken in. ‘Baby brother.’ Mr. Holmes had a brother?
“I will repeat myself,” Mr. Holmes spoke in an icy tone. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
The man shot a look to you and you involuntarily flinched. His gaze was simply smoldering.
“Got an assistant now, haven’t you?”
“That is not what you came to talk about. Now, talk and leave. I have a list of things I need to accomplish today.”
The man gave you another look at stepped close to Mr. Holmes. He whispered in his ear and stepped around him, slamming the door in his leave. You looked up at Mr. Holmes, startling when you saw his face bright pink.
“Miss (l/n), I have a list of things for you to file. Please get them done by the end of the day.”
You nodded silently, taking the page and going over the stack of manila folders. You began filing, unaware of the pair of eyes glued to your backside in your short skirt.
